What is a Cross-Ice Jamboree?

Hockey Saskatchewan believes the first years of hockey need to be a positive one. A fun and exciting start that allows young players the opportunity to enjoy hockey for life!

Since the start of the 2016-17 season, Hockey Saskatchewan has been hosting Cross-Ice Jamborees. A Jamboree is a Hockey Saskatchewan program for Under-7 players. Jamborees are a fun-based event in which players develop and learn basic skills and build confidence, through skill sessions, as well as Cross-Ice games, freeze tag and obstacle courses.


Quick Shots:

  • WHO CAN HOST?: Any Minor Hockey Association!
  • WHEN CAN HOSTS APPLY?: Any Time of Year!
  • WHERE?: Any rink that has ice available in the regular season can be a venue.
  • COST?: Free! However, the host is responsible for the cost of the ice.
