Mental Health Resources
Hockey Saskatchewan is providing the following mental health resources that are readily available to players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families across the province. It is recommended that Minor Hockey Associations, teams and leagues budget for, and invest in mental health services for their players with the same priority used for skill development and team building.
Coaches are often a trusted figure in young players' lives and it is critical that we equip them with knowledge and resources to support our young players.
Officials and association volunteers also work in high-stress roles, and it is sensible and responsible to support their wellbeing in the game of hockey.
Together we can contribute to the wellbeing of our participants by challenging stigmas and including mental wellness as a priority in all we do.
