Respect in Sport

Respect in Sport

The online Respect in Sport (RIS) Program educates youth leaders, coaches, officials, and participants to recognize, understand, and respond to issues of bullying, abuse, harassment, and discrimination. It may be the single most important training your leaders receive in creating a safe, healthy, and respectful environment for all participants.

RIS is for – ACTIVITY LEADERS

All team staff (coaches, managers, trainers, volunteers, bench persons) 16 years and older must complete Respect in Sport by Dec. 20th of every season. The Program is only offered online and is a total of 3 hours in length.

RIS is for – PARENTS/GUARDIANS

The RIS Parent Program is an online training module designed to educate parents on their role in creating a safe, respectful, and fun environment for their children's sports and activities. This Program focuses on promoting positive behaviors, understanding the roles of coaches and officials, and ensuring the well-being of young athletes.
