REGINA, Sask. – Hockey Saskatchewan proudly unveils an exciting update for the inaugural season of the new Junior hockey league for Under-22 (U22) female players in the province, with the thrilling addition of a sixth team representing Saskatoon.

After recognizing the enthusiasm and pathway present in Saskatoon, Hockey Saskatchewan Board of Directors is delighted to approve the expansion, further creating more opportunities for graduating Under-18 (U18) female players to pursue their hockey careers at a high level and a greater chance to fulfill their dreams of competing at the university level.

The Provincial Female Junior Hockey League will now consist of the following six teams: Kindersley Junior Klippers, Lumsden, Outlook, Regina, Southwest (Swift Current/Gull Lake), and Saskatoon.

"We are thrilled to have these six clubs participate in the inaugural season of the Provincial Female Junior Hockey League. We believe that these communities will provide an ideal environment for female players to develop their skills and reach new heights of excellence,” said Hockey Saskatchewan General Manager Kelly McClintock.

Further to today’s announcement, the league is inviting sponsors, players, and volunteers to join in making history during its first-ever season. Any individuals and organizations who are passionate about supporting female hockey and want to contribute to the growth and success of the league are encouraged to email Hockey Saskatchewan (Info@HockeySask.ca).
