Female Futures

SASK FIRST FEMALE UNDER-13 (U13) PROGRAM

Hockey Saskatchewan is once again offering the Sask First Female Futures Program. It is an opportunity for U13-aged athletes to experience a province-wide camp and tournament that promotes development to those looking to play Team Saskatchewan or are interested in pursuing hockey at the U Sports/College level.

The Female Futures will be broken into two (2) separate weekends. The first weekend will be a 'SKILLS CAMP WEEKEND', where the players will work through repetitions in various techniques – shooting, puck handling, skating, and checking followed by three (2) 45-minute games. Players will also go through  Hockey Canada skating testing.

The second and final weekend will be 'TOURNAMENT WEEKEND,' where players will participate in a four (4) game round-robin style, similar to the format used by the Sask First Female Under-16 and Under-18 Programs.

We expect participants to attend both the SKILLS CAMP and TOURNAMENT.
