With their partners; officials will be responsible for administering the rules of the game to ensure it is played in a fair and safe manner for all participants

Officials at this level would have moved through the officiating pathway and are working at the high performance level of play.
Officials may apply to be selected for Member High Performance Camps based on their ability as a senior official.
Official registration fees are $160 if they are also registered with a Hockey Saskatchewan sanctioned team as a player or member of the coaching staff or $208 if they are not registered with a sanctioned team. This should be the first step of the certification process.
Officials must complete the full registration and certification process each season. An official is certified for that season once completing the full training camp process and will remain certified up until December 7 of the following season if they chose not to recertify. Officials are required to complete online modules, attend a classroom or virtual classroom session and achieve a minimum score of 85% of the written Hockey Canada examination. To become a MHP Official they will attend Branch hosted included 15-20 hours of instruction.
Officials will need the equipment that includes: helmet with a visor, finger whistle, black pants, skates, official jersey, with Hockey Canada and Hockey Saskatchewan crests, armbands, or league appropriate crests. It is also recommended officials wear protective equipment which may included shin pads, elbow pads, athletic cup, girdle, shin tights.
These officials will be working in the 4-Official System as either a referee or linesperson and knowledgeable and comfortable in the Modified 3-Official system and other systems to serve as an on-ice mentor or official coach.
Assignments should be based on ability and availability. Officials working the SODM or Senior leagues will be assigned by the League’s assignors. Payment of officials may done in a variety of was. Hockey Saskatchewan officiating rates are posted on the Hockey Saskatchewan website and Appendix A.
Official formerly recognized at the Level 4 or 5 Level (excluding Female Level 5 Officials) are now considered Member High Performance Officials. To obtain National High Performance certification officials will be nominated by their Branch and have an opportunity the Hockey Canada camp.
Officials will work with a balance of less and more experienced officials to help mentor and be mentored and will have official coaches attend games to help provide feedback for rankings and assignments.
