Inactive Officials are not elidable to official any hockey games, but may serve the an Official Coach, Instructor, Committee Member, Assignor of Administrator.
Official registration fees are $30.This should be the first step of the certification process.
Officials 15 and older may register as an inactive official to provide support to other officials and remain part of the membership.
Officials must complete the full registration. An official is certified for that season once completing the full training camp process and will remain certified up until December 7 of the following season if they chose not to recertify. Officials are required to complete the Moodle Online Modules and exam. Inactive Officials are recommended to attend the appropriate Official Coaching and other information webinars provide for their roles.
Official Coaches will be provided with a login to submit their online coaching forms, which can be done via phone, tablet or computer.
Officials should be familiar with all officiating systems used in Saskatchewan. Official coaches may be assigned in partners with special instructions, but primarily will be working alone in their role.
Assignments must be approved by the appropriate committee for official coaching assignments. Coaches are responsible to submit their monthly coaching forms once all games have been entered on the website. Those who do not complete their assignments by the required monthly end deadline, may not receive full fees. See Appendix B for fee breakdown
Inactive Official may register as an inactive Level 9 official for one season to hold their previous level once they recertify next season.
Coaching the coaches will be crucial to the development of all officials. Inactive Officials are crucial to the working with officials at the appropriate level.
