CALGARY, Alta. - Defenceman Nick Schultz, of Strasbourg, SK has been loaned to Canada's National Junior Team by the Minnesota Wild, the Canadian Hockey Association, the Canadian Hockey League and the Wild announced on Friday.

Schultz won a bronze medal as a member of Canada's National Junior Team at the 2001 World Junior Hockey Championship in Russia. He has been with Minnesota since the start of the 2001-2002 NHL season, registering three points in 16 games.

With the addition of Schultz, Canada now has 10 returning players from last year's bronze medal winning Canadian Team.

The National Junior Team's Selection Camp Roster stands at 37 players, including 4 goaltenders, 13 defencemen and 20 forwards.

The selection camp will take place December 10-17th in North York, ON, at the Beatrice Ice Gardens. The players will train and compete under the watchful eyes of Head Coach Stan Butler (Brampton, OHL), assistant coaches Marc Habscheid (Kelowna, WHL) and Mike Kelly (North Bay, OHL), as well as Director of Scouting, Barry Trapp.

All practices during the selection camp will be open to the public. Canada will play two intrasquad games on December 11 and 12, and two pre-competition games against the OUA All-Stars, December 13 and 14, with all games starting at 5:30 pm ET.
