REGINA, Sask. – Saskatchewan’s top hockey players are set to take centre ice as the Sask First Female and Male Under-18 (U18) tournaments run simultaneously from April 10-12, 2026.

These Hockey Saskatchewan events give athletes a prime opportunity to develop, compete, and showcase their skills in front of scouts and evaluators.

The Female U18 Top 80 Tournament brings 2009- and 2010-born players to the Balgonie Arena on Friday, April 10, starting with team practices. Four teams will face off in round-robin play throughout the weekend, leading to the A and B Finals on Sunday, April 12.

“For the female players who moved on from the provincial camp earlier this season, this top 80 tournament is more than just a competition. It is a chance to prove themselves on a bigger stage,” said Joel Houseman, Director of Operations for Sask First. “The event plays a key role in selecting athletes for Team Saskatchewan as preparations continue for the 2027 Canada Winter Games.”
