REGINA, Sask. – Saskatchewan’s top hockey players will take center stage as the Sask First Female and Male Under-18 (U18) tournaments run simultaneously from April 11-13, 2025.

Both these Hockey Saskatchewan events offer a critical opportunity for athletes to develop, compete, and showcase their skills in front of scouts and evaluators.

The Female U18 Top 80 Tournament will see 2008- and 2009-born players hit the ice at the Balgonie Stardome on Friday, April 11, starting with team practices. Four teams will then face off in round-robin play, with games running throughout the weekend and culminating in the A and B Finals on Sunday, April 13.

“For female players, this tournament is more than just a competition—it’s an opportunity to prove themselves on a bigger stage,” said Joel Houseman, Director of Operations for Sask First. “It plays a pivotal role in selecting athletes for Team Saskatchewan as we prepare for the 2025 U18 Women’s National Championship.”
