Signing Officers

Policy

To ensure appropriate control of spending, Hockey Saskatchewan has adopted a policy which identifies certain Board and staff members to have authority to approve cheques written for payment of Hockey Saskatchewan funds.

Procedures

1. The eligible signing officers for Hockey Saskatchewan are:
   1. One Member of the Board of Directors
   2. The General Manager
   3. One senior staff member of Hockey Saskatchewan
       
2. All payments made on behalf of Hockey Saskatchewan require approval from two signing officers.
   1. Cheques written to a maximum of $5,000 may be signed by any two signing officers listed in #1 above.
   2. Cheques written for a value above $5,000 may be signed by:
      1. Any two signing officers with one being the Board Member.
      2. Either of the General Manager or the other approved senior staff member with signing authority.

3. With respect to Point #2, for regular payments that have been approved under a contract by the Board of Directors of Hockey Saskatchewan, signing officers may include any two of the people listed in Point #1 above.
