2025-26 Board of Director Candidates
It is once again time for the membership to elect individuals to the Hockey Saskatchewan Board of Directors. This year, voting will take place between July 28 and August 1, 2025, ahead of our Annual General Meeting on August 5, 2025. Additional details and voting instructions will be sent to all designated voting delegates in advance of the voting period.
This year, five individuals have been nominated for the Board. Of these, the membership will elect four (4) to serve. Each nominee has been thoroughly vetted by the Nominating Committee, and we are confident in their qualifications and commitment to the organization.
As you review the nominees, the Nominating Committee would like to remind you that the Board of Directors functions as a policy governance board. Board members are responsible for setting organizational policy, providing strategic oversight, and delegating operational implementation to the General Manager.
The members of the Board are fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as making sure this nonprofit has adequate resources to advance the mission.
We look forward to your participation in this important process and to seeing many of you at the Annual Meeting.
Mary Anne Veroba
Chair, Nominating Committee
Each Board of Director candidate was asked to provide a written response to the following four questions:
- What do you think should be a priority for Hockey Saskatchewan to positively influence grassroots hockey within Saskatchewan?
- What experience or competencies do you have that will add direct value to the Board of Hockey Saskatchewan?
- What is your current or recent involvement with hockey in Saskatchewan?
- What do you like to do with your spare time (away from the rink)?
The list of candidates the their responses are listed below and appear in alphabetical order.
