Ontario Blue Ensures All-Ontario Final with 6-2 Win in Semis

QUEBEC CITY, Que. - Ontario Blue set up an all-Ontario final for the 2017 National Women’s Under-18 Championship by skating to a 6-2 win over Saskatchewan in the semifinal.
Three players scored six of the eight goals of the game - Nicole Kelly (Brantford, Ont./Etobicoke, PWHL) and Malory Dominico (North Bay, Ont./Barrie, PWHL) potting two each for Ontario Blue, and Grace Shirley (Saskatoon, Sask./Saskatoon, SFMAAAHL) scoring both goals for Saskatchewan. Kelly opened up the scoring with a power-play goal from in close, and contributed what became the game-winner. Sarah Nelles and Leah Herrfort (Palmerston, Ont./Cambridge, PWHL) also each found the back of the net for Ontario Blue.
Saskatchewan will make history on Sunday, playing for its first-ever medal in the bronze-medal game at 12 p.m. ET.
Ontario Blue will look to end Ontario Red’s win-streak when the puck drops at 4:15 p.m. The gold-medal game will be carried live on TSN2 following NFL football, and on RDS on Monday (check local listings).
