7.01.01    Age Eligibility

Junior

 

18 years of age and younger

Intermediate

 

Over 18 years of age

Senior

 

Open to all ages

All ages are as of December 31st of the current season.

7.02.01    Membership Fees and Insurance Premiums

a)    The annual fee for membership in the Association and the participant fee shall be:

Membership Fee:
Each Team:
Junior, Intermediate and Senior

$50.00

Compulsory Participant Fee:
Each Player, Team Official/Bench Personnel, etc.

$30.00

 

Note: Includes Liability, A.D &D. and Medical and Dental coverage.

 

All players, coaches, managers and trainers listed on team rosters which have been verified by the General Manager must pay the compulsory participant fee in order to be covered by Hockey Canada insurance.

Participant fees are non-transferable from one player to another.  (i.e. if a player is released from a roster, their participant fee is non-transferable to a player being added).  Once paid, a player’s participant fee remains with them the entire season.  The player being added must have their participant fee paid.

b)    All Para Teams are responsible for registering all team rosters with Hockey Saskatchewan using the Para Team Registration Form on the Hockey Saskatchewan website and submitting it to the General Manager along with all participant fees prior to the commencement of game play.  Insurance coverage shall commence when fees have been paid.

7.03.01    Residential Qualifications

a) There shall be three (3) categories for Para hockey:

i) Junior

ii) Intermediate

iii) Senior

b) There shall be no residential requirements for Para hockey.

7.04.01    Registration Procedures

a)    Para Teams in all categories will be allowed to register a maximum of twenty-five (25) players at any given time.

b)    Players registered on a Para Team may be on the roster of only one team at any one time.

c)    A Player may be released from a Para Team prior to January 10th and still be eligible to be added to another Para Team prior to February 10th.  Any player released after January 10th, will be ineligible for the remainder of that season.

d)    Junior Para Teams will be permitted to register Overage players provided they receive approval from the Hockey Saskatchewan Registration Committee.

e)    Intermediate Para Teams will be permitted to register Underage players provided they receive approval from the Hockey Saskatchewan Registration Committee.

f)    Registered Para Teams may not play against unregistered or non-sanctioned teams at any time.

7.05.01    Exhibition Games

All Exhibition Games involving sanctioned Para Teams must be sanctioned on the Hockey Saskatchewan website.

7.06.01    Tournaments

a)    All Tournaments hosted in Saskatchewan must be sanctioned on the Hockey Saskatchewan website and all teams attending must be sanctioned.

b)    All Tournaments hosted in another province must be sanctioned by that provincial governing body and all teams attending must be sanctioned.

i)    A sanction number must be provided by the host Team in the other province. 

ii)    A Travel Permit must also be obtained on the Hockey Saskatchewan website prior to leaving the province for competition.
