Provincial League Oversight

Policy

The Hockey Saskatchewan Board of Directors will provide oversight of the provincial leagues that it has established.  It is committed to review and to member discourse in order to meet the goals of the division belief statements, developmental goals and league success.

Procedure

The Hockey Sask Board of Directors will assign a Board member to be a representative for each provincial league.  The board member will contact the President of the provincial league and be available to attend meetings of the league’s Board of Directors and/or Governors.  This board member will report to the board and bring forward discussion items from the leagues to the attention of the Chair, who will consider their inclusion in a meeting agenda.

The Board will review the league’s structure, team numbers and locations every 3 years to ensure the programming and goals of the association are being met.

A committee will be formed by the Chair for each review, and the Terms of Reference established will include a group that is reflective of the association membership and who understand the goals of the association and league.
