Policy
This policy will be applicable for all Hockey Saskatchewan Members, volunteers, staff, officials, program and clinic instructors/mentors. This Policy will be activated at the start of the next Hockey Saskatchewan fiscal year, which is May 1st annually.
Procedure
The Mileage Rate for Hockey Saskatchewan to be reflective of 90% of the Canada Revenue Agency Mileage Rate specifically related to Saskatchewan.
The Rationale for this policy is as follows:
- CRA rates are generic for all corporations and individuals across all sectors.
- Hockey Saskatchewan is a non-profit corporation.
- Hockey Saskatchewan is volunteer driven.
- Hockey Saskatchewan annual revenue is mostly member-derived.
- Hockey Saskatchewan pays this rate for mileage - but also Leagues and member associations.
For these factors and others, we as an association use 90% of the previous year's CRA Rate for Saskatchewan.
