COACHING DEVELOPMENT 1

Hockey Saskatchewan's coaching clinics are now open with new dates and locations added regularly. The deadline to meet all coach requirements is December 20, 2026.

Development 1 is a requirement for:

  • Under-13 AA male & female head coaches
  • Under-15 AA male & female assistant coaches
  • Under-16 AA assistant coaches
  • Under-18 AA all male & female coaches
  • Under-18 AAA male & female assistant coaches
  • Accredited schools assistant coaches

The Development 1 course is a blend of e-learning modules and the in-person classroom. All the clinic resources are stored on the Coach Clinic Reference Material page. Please have these saved to your desktop for access.

Development 1 registration process:

STEP 1: The Hockey Canada Development 1 (e-learning module) course is the first of two components of this coach training program.

Coaches MUST COMPLETE the e-learning module as it is the PRE-REQUISITE to registering for the in-person clinic.

Full certification is obtained when these training steps are completed:

  1. Complete the e-learning Hockey Canada LLB Development 1 module
  2. Attend in-person training
  3. Submit & pass Development 1 workbook
  4. Have a field evaluation of one practice
  5. Complete the online evaluation for Making Ethical Decisions (MED)
