REGINA, Sask. – The Sask First High-Performance program is excited to introduce the all-female coaching staffs for the 2022-23 Team Saskatchewan Female Under-16 program.

Heading into the next stage of the program, the two Female Under-16 teams will be led by Head Coaches, Laurie Alexander and Cassie Schlamp.

“We’re excited to make this announcement. They are all excellent coaches who have coached in the Sask First Program previously and will be great leading this group into the next phase of this Program.” – Joel Houseman, Senior Coordinator of High Performance.

Both benches will lead and nurture the Top 34 players following the Sask First tournament in April 2022, which whittled the province’s players down from eight teams to two.

The 2007/2008-born players chosen will attend a Summer Camp in Regina from July 31 to Aug. 1, 2022, and a Showcase Tournament held in Swift Current, Sask., from Sept. 8-11, 2022.

The Showcase Tournament will see the prospects divided into Team Green and Team White in order to test their mettle against each other as well as clubs from the Saskatchewan Female Under-18 “AAA” Hockey League (SFU18AAAHL).

Hockey Saskatchewan once again offers its congratulations to those selected and wishes them all the best in the upcoming months.
