The inaugural season of the Sask First Para Program is set to kick off in 2023-24, with the objectives of honing players' skills and assembling Team Saskatchewan to represent the province in national competition. This groundbreaking program is open to both able- and non-able-bodied individuals as well as all genders.

This selection process ensures that all participants have the opportunity to compete and grow alongside their peers, while also gaining valuable exposure. Moreover, the Sask First Para Program serves as the gateway to Hockey Canada's National Para Team (NPT), reserved for athletes with lower-body disabilities, offering the prospect of representing Team Canada on the international stage.
